Musician Toolkit collects only the bare minimum data required to deliver software updates and facilitate purchase licenses:

• Website Visitor Information: Standard, non-identifiable HTTP access logs (such as browser type and timestamp) processed automatically by our hosting infrastructure.
• License & Purchases: Transactions conducted through the Apple Mac App Store or Microsoft Store are governed by Apple and Microsoft privacy standards. We do not collect or store credit card details or financial information.
• Optional Account Creation (Phase 2): If you choose to create a Musician Toolkit account for cross-device sync or beta features, we store your email address and encrypted password hash.

2. Your Audio Files & Recordings

Your music library, session stems, and recorded instrument takes remain 100% private:

• Zero Audio Uploads: Audio files loaded into Musician Toolkit are decoded directly into system RAM on your machine. We do not upload your songs, isolated stems, or rehearsal takes to remote servers.
• Offline Stem Separation: Neural network inference for vocal and instrument stem splitting runs natively on-device. No cloud APIs or third-party artificial intelligence engines are invoked.
• Local Save Locations: Exported audio, WAV files, and project bookmarks are written strictly to your chosen local directory.

3. Device Permissions

Musician Toolkit requests only system permissions necessary for core musical tools:

• Microphone / Audio Input: Used solely to drive the Chromatic Tuner pitch detection and recording feature. Audio captured from your microphone is analyzed in real-time memory and is never transmitted off your device.
• File Access: Used exclusively to open audio files you choose to transcribe and to write exported audio files to your disk.

4. Data Security & Storage

We apply industry-leading security practices adhering to Apple Human Interface Guidelines and App Store security mandates:

• Sandboxing: Musician Toolkit is sandboxed on macOS and Windows 11, preventing unauthorized filesystem access.
• No Third-Party Ad Networks or Trackers: We do not embed ad network SDKs, user fingerprinting scripts, or cross-app tracking beacons.
• TLS / HTTPS Encryption: All communications with our website or authentication endpoints use modern TLS 1.3 encryption.

5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Under applicable data protection laws, including the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have the right to:

• Request disclosure of what personal information is held (if an account was created).
• Request immediate deletion of your user account and associated credentials.
• Opt-out of any non-essential analytics communications.
• We never sell or rent user data under any circumstances.
